We had pizza last night!
First I made the dough in the bread maker: 240ml water, a tablespoon of olive oil, 350 gm of flour, a teaspoon of salt, two teaspoons of sugar and a teaspoon of fast action yeast granules.
I roasted two yellow peppers in a hot oven for 40 minutes, put them in a tightly sealed plastic bag for 15 minutes and then removed the skins. I also simmered a can of plum tomatoes with salt and pepper to make a sauce.
I rolled the dough out and put in on a lightly oiled baking sheet. I covered the base with the tomato sauce, added cubes of Asiago cheese and unsmoked Provola cheese, the strips of roasted pepper, a few black olives, a sprinkling of dried origano and a drizzle of olive oil. I cooked the pizza at 200°C for 30-35 minutes.
The origano came from Patrick’s amazing vegetable shop in Gallio. The shop is full of gorgeous fresh produce, and he has a smile for everyone!pizza 001
